Kasargod: College student dies after being hit by moving train

Kasargod, Dec 6: A college student died here after being hit by a running train.

The deceased is identified as Anjana Rao (22), daughter of Surendran, resident of Kadappura, Kavugoli Chowki. She was a student of M Sc biochemistry at the St Aloysius College, Mangaluru.

She had slept after dinner on Monday night but was missing when the house people got up in the morning. They found her mortal remains during the search on the railway tracks a little away from her residence.

Her mobile phone was found smashed on the tracks.

Kasargod police conducted the inquest. Her body was handed over to her family after her post-mortem at Kasargod General Hospital.
