Mangaluru: Advanced cath lab inaugurated at Indiana Hospital

Mangaluru, Dec 6: It was yet another milestone for Indiana Hospital & Heart Institute, Mangaluru, a 300-bed, NABH accredited corporate hospital. A new, advanced cardiac catheterization lab (cath lab) was inaugurated on it premises by Ravikumar M R, IAS, deputy commissioner (DC) and district magistrate of Dakshina Kannada district.

At the inauguration held here on Monday December 5, the DC appreciated the services of Indiana Hospital during the Covid times. He said, “Technology today is making complicated surgery simple and quick and Indiana hospital is keeping pace with the time in adopting such new technology. I offer my full support to the hospital in serving the health needs of the people.”

Congratulating Indiana Hospital, Jayananda Anchan, mayor, Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) recalled the excellent services rendered by Indiana hospital during Covid times.

Dr Kishore Kumar, the district health officer of Dakshina Kannada district, appreciated the support extended by Indiana Hospital for needy patients.

Dr Yusuf Kumble, managing director, Indiana Hospital, welcoming the guests asserted that Indiana is a well known cardiac centre in south India well equipped with state-of-the-heart technology and expert doctors and para-medical staff.

Earlier, Adhitya Bharadwaj, medical director – administration, Indiana Hospital welcomed the guests. Dr Ali Kumble, chairman, Indiana Hospital, proposed the vote of thanks.
