Kasargod: 15 injured as KSRTC bus overturns near Manjeshwar

Kasargod, Dec 1: More than 15 people were injured in an accident on Thursday evening near Manjeshwar after a KSRTC (Kerala) turned turtle as the driver lost control over the vehicle he was driving.

The Kerala Malabar bus was Kasargod-bound from Mangaluru and the bus overturned near a petrol bunk.

More than 40 passengers were travelling in the bus.

The police helped the passengers who were stuck in the bus and made arrangements for 15 of them to reach various hospitals.

    Since its a government bus they can avail compensation, so people can file an FIR against Ksrtc and get some compensation based on weather they are alive or dead. But they need to prove it in court that it was the driver's fault.

    SRM, Shirva/ Mumbai, As per law passengers injured in such accidents should get compensation money and also hospital charges. It all depends.

    Driver did not loose the control of the bus due to his negligence . Front axle was broken while the bus was in motion. Driver controlled the bus and managed to take it aside, unfortunately it fell into side pit containing water. This tragedy has saved 40 passengers from any grievous injury. Thank you for the driver.

    Government will say that it's not mistake of driver. It's mistake of passenger who did not sat properly.. That is how our Fekus response to save their side.

    They should be getting good compensation as most vehicles are insured. The insurance comapny is obliged to provide compensation in all accidents

    they may not get compensation from Insurance company in this case because this is not accident.... result of driver's error...
