Bantwal: Minor girl causes scooter accident – Court fines mother Rs 26,000

Bantwal, Nov 29: A city court slapped a fine of Rs 26,000 on mother of a minor girl, who was given the scooter to ride that was involved in an accident that occurred at Siddakatte.

Collision between scooter and car occurred at Siddakatte in August earlier this year. A case was registered at the traffic police station of the town. Assistant sub inspector Vijay who investigated the matter and issued a notice against the parents.

The court, which conducted the inquiry, slapped a fine on the mother of the minor girl as her daughter was riding the scooter at the time of the accident.

    must be a fatherless minor for the mothe to be fined. Send the girl and the mother to at least a month to jail where they can learn a lesson, and the girl can learn how to ride and given a L-licence (learner's) if she passes the test

    Even she should be sent to Jail at least for six months. Most of crimes and nonsense happen due to poor parenting and zero values in life.

    Good judgement. I request the traffic police not to wait for an accident to occur with minors driving vehicles without license. Even on Mangalore roads minors are found driving two wheelers without following any traffic rules.
