First paediatrician of Kundapur, Dr Venkatraj passes away

Kundapur, Nov 7: First paediatrician of Kundapur, well known Dr Venkatraj passed away after a brief sickness. He was undergoing treatment for his heart ailment at a private hospital at Bengaluru. He was 67. He had served by being a people friendly doctor at his Swathi clinic at Kundapur city for more than three decades.

He hailed from Uppunda and started his career after PUC at the Bhandarkar’s college and MBBS and DCH at the Kasturba Medical College, Manipal.

He has left behind his father Thimmappayya Karanth, wife Rajeshwari, son Urologist Dr Kishan Raj, daughter Asha Jyothi, daughter in law, gynaecologist Dr Rajani and other family members.
