In the statistics for both districts, 48 from Mangaluru, six from Beltangady, 17 from Bantwal, 14 from Puttur, five from Udupi, one from Karkala and nine from Kundapur have discontinued their education in first PU. Three girls of Mangaluru and one from Beltangady have also discontinued their studies in second PU.

It is not yet known whether these students have taken readmission in 2022-23 or will write examination privately. It cannot be said that all have discontinued studies because of Hijab row. There might be other reasons also as per the sources of PU department.

In the meantime, survey is also carried out on the children of primary and secondary schools who have discontinued their education after coronavirus pandemic. In total, 652 students have left the school, out of which 348 are re admitted. Most of the children are from the migrant worker community. As they discontinue studies due to work related issues and get their children admitted in other areas, the department is not able to keep track of such students according to sources of education department.

Why we all should break our heads when they themselves dont want it ?or have to obey their husbands ,father or religion gurus?Hardly we hear handful girls are in higher position or work with Hijab. In Europe women are not allowed to wear their head cap and work in schools whatever education they have .Few work in doctors praxis but face exposed.with schal hair covered.most of them later stay at home ,have family and children. There are cases where muslim girls dont want to wear head cover ,let hair free ,and their own brother ,or husband or father kill them.If she breaks out of home ,they follow and kill them. They dont have much freedom .

While other religions have evolved with time and even become more liberal, fanatics in Sunni Islam are still chaining women to old rituals such as Triple Talaq and Hijab. Their real excuse is that they don't want Muslim women to learn further and improve their future. Their real problem is not the hijab, but being ruled by the BJP and Hindu leaders. In other countries like Iran and Pakistan, women are openly challenging the establishment against the hijab. It's only in India that they have a problem. Shia women, on the other hand, have gone so ahead and achieved so much. They have become doctors, engineers, scientists and even academia. It's time Sunni Muslim women believe in themselves and start questioning their stupid Mullahs.

Its a sorry sight when i come to Mlr to see small children segregated at such a tiny age. Most are sent to Al Kabab schools thus snatching their chance to mingle with children of other communities & becomming one with them. Even in housing societies they rarely mingle with others & like to be segragated. Only a tiny miniscule has modern thinking & send children to convents. God save our society.

Both the parties are stubborn. It said that mimimum PUC should be passed, so that in future if you decide to continue your education, you can do so by showing the certificate. Not passingPUII means completed 10th (only). Apparently these girls have made up their mind. Good luck girls.

You and I are no one to force them to wear or force them to remove their Hijab. In india Saffron Extreminsts are forcing them to remove the Hijab. In Iran Green extremists are forcing them to wear the Hijab. Both groups are termites.

Education is Everyone's Basic Right and only that can change a Society or Country going forward. Denying Education on the basis of Religion, Cast, Creed, Color, Culture, Traditions, Language, Locality, Region, etc is not Acceptable at all!!! Education is not made for Uniform, but Uniform is made for Education. What I mean here is, even if the child can't afford for clothes, he or she shouldn't be denied the right to education!!! I always used to ask one question to myself - What if I was born in a Muslim Family or a Hindu Family or a Christian Family or a Dalit Family and so on, on which I had absolutely No Controls!!! If every Indian asks this Question to himself/herself, there wont be any hatred towards other Indians and only love and respect for others!!! Jai Hind!!!

So who is responsible? Better to move to some other institute. Also note, the party that was acting as your saviour has shifted its affiliation. You may have seen where they run and what they apply on their foreheads. Your vote too is no longer important. So ultimately its you who have to fend yourselves.
