Udupi, Oct 4: Sri Rama Sene leader Pramod Muthalik condemned the closure of Paresh Mesta murder case by CBI saying that the death was accidental.

Venting his anger, Pramod said, “Paresh Mesta was killed in 2017. Throughout the state Hindus protested. Home minister Amit Shah also visited the house of Mesta. Siddaramaiah was the chief minister when this serious incident took place.

“The case was handed over to CBI in 2019. After three years CBI put B report on the case. It is injustice to say that Paresh Mesta’s death was accidental. I oppose and condemn this decision. This report is cheating. Paresh Mesta was murdered without doubt. The Congress government which was ruling at that time has destroyed all the evidences.

“The current central government has to reopen the case. Comprehensive investigation needs to be done. Sri Rama Sene will fight for this throughout the state. This report is injustice meted out to Hindutva and the family of Paresh Mesta. The accused are Muslim goondas,” he said.
