Sep 30: Dakshina Kannada reports nine Covid cases, three infections in Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Sep 30: Dakshina Kannada on Friday, September 30, reported nine new coronavirus cases while three cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,032, out of which 29 are currently active. As many as 8 patients were discharged on September 30.


No deaths were reported on September 30. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,860.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 1.1 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Three coronavirus cases were reported on September 30. The total active Covid cases are 31.

A total of 10,90,736 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,85,356 have received both doses and 2,90,802 people have received booster doses.

Udupi taluk reported two cases while one infection was from Kundapur taluk. All three cases reported were symptomatic.

    Though COVID infections have come down we should not give up vigilance I feel we must follow the routine of mask sanitizer and social distancing to prevent the spread of this deadly disease I am sure we can defeat COVID with adequate precautions

    Why social distancing again?..As all r booster vaccinated, only mask is sufficient....No social distancing
