Mangaluru: Second round of 58th singing competition by Konkani Natak Sabha held

Mangaluru, Sep 27: The second round of the 58th singing competition by the Konkani Natak Sabha was held on Sunday, September 25  at the Don Bosco Hall here.

Vice president of Konkani Natak Sabha Liston D'Souza welcomed the participants and the audience. Renowned singer Wilfred Vijay D'Sa popularly known as Wilfy Pangla inaugurated the competition by lighting the lamp. Santhosh Sequeira, proprietor, Santhosh Arrangers, Kankanady was the guest for the occasion. Floyd D'Mello, general secretary, Gerald Concessao, treasurer, singing competition conveners Joseph Pinto and Gladys Rosario were present on the dais.

In the morning session, the competition was held for the children's category and the afternoon session was dedicated to the adults category.

The competition was conducted by Cletus Lobo and Floyd D'Mello assisted by Deliya Ivin Crasta. Bendur along with Rosario unit members of KNS as volunteers. Simon Rodrigues, Jennifer Pinto and Ryna Castelino officiated as judges for the children's category. Simon Pais, Alwyn Julian D'Cunha and Joshal D'Souza were the judges for the adults category. Joseph Pinto announced the results and Floyd D'Mello compered the programme and proposed a vote of thanks.
