Monthi Fest: SFX Kutam, Mudarangady, Dubai

Dubai, Sep 18: It was on September 17 evening symbolizing a precise blend of solemnity and merriment, SFX Kutam, Mudarangadi celebrated `Monthi Fest' - a family festival of love, peace and emotions.
This celebration was held on Friday, at Winny's restaurant in Karama in the evening from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm and was attended in large numbers by the association members and their families.
The programme began with prayer and children offering most beautiful flowers to Infant Mary, adults following them and singing the hymn `Sakkad Sangatha Mellyam'. The new crop was brought in by the newly wedded couple Vinod and Sonali traditionally and got the blessings of elders. Everyone gathered, consumed the blessed new crop in milk while thanking and praising Mother Mary.
President Canute Mathias welcomed and addressed the gathering and Anil Prakash D'Souza conducted the entire programme who was supported by Leslie D'Souza. There were variety of activities like dance, skit and games put together to entertain children and adults.
The food was so delicious with all different kinds of vegetables and the taste of the vorn which made so nostalgic of childhood and reminded of families back home.
It was truly a family gathering for SFX Kutam and an evening to remember.
All the Mudarangadians were requested to gather again for a grand picnic on December 10, 2010 at the Safa Park in Dubai.
