Mangaluru/Udupi, Jan 26: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 19 fresh coronavirus cases on Tuesday raising the tally to 33,653. Out of these, 274 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,15,739 samples have been tested. Out of which 4,82,086 are negative.

As many as 22 people were discharged on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 32,640.

A total of 739 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 27,747 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 29,00,435 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,282, including 10 fresh cases on Tuesday. Out of these, 40 cases are currently active.

Over 3,30,542 samples have been tested so far, of which 3,07,260 have turned out negative.

As many as seven patients were discharged on Tuesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,053.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
