Bengaluru, Jan 22: Disgruntled BJP ministers are successful in making chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa bend to their pressure of seeking portfolios of their choice. Again changes are done in portfolio allocation by CM.
J C Madhuswamy has been given Hajj and Wakf department along with medical education. Aravinda Limbavali is given the Kannada and Culture department. Earlier, Kannada and Culture department was given to Madhuswamy.
MTB Nagaraj, who had openly expressed his disappointment on being given Excise department, is given civic administration and sugar departments. Excise department is given to K Gopalaiah. Earlier, Horticulture and Sugar departments were given to Gopalaiah.
Minister R Shankar is given horticulture department instead of civic administration. K C Narayana Gowda is given the Planning department which was with the CM, in addition to Youth and Sports portfolio.
Minister K Sudhakar had pestered CM not to change his portfolio of medical education and health. However, Yediyurappa did not budge to his demand. Medical education department continues to be handled by Madhuswamy.
