Mangaluru: Congress leader dies of cardiac arrest

Mangaluru, Jan 22: The District Congress Committee Secretary, Umar Fajir (60), resident of Fazir, passed away on Friday January 22 morning due to a cardiac arrest. It is learned that following pain in the chest, Umar was rushed to Kanachur hospital, but he died as he failed to respond to the treatment.

Umar also served as former taluk panchayat vice-president, former director of Bantwal APMC.

He is survived by his wife, daughter and relatives.
