Brahmavar: Decomposed body of unidentified man surfaces in river

Brahmavar, Jan 21: The police have found a dead body of an unidentified man in a rivulet in Brahmavar. A person identified as Sadananda Poojary had initially informed about the presence of the body to panchayat member Ashwin Prasanna Roche.

Brahmavar police personnel visited the spot after receiving a complaint from Ashwin Prasanna Roche who resides near Kolalagiri fish market, Uppoor village. Ashwin discovered the body at about 11.50 am on January 21 in the rivulet behind his house. The body was found at about 12 pm with its face down.

Those who were present there retrieved the body of the man. The man is likely between 40-45 years of age. He was wearing a shirt with blue stripes and cement coloured trousers. A portion of the skin on his head had come out. The body had four inch long hair and is approximately about 5 ft 5 inches tall. It is believed that the victim may have accidentally fallen into the water or likely committed suicide by jumping in the lake.

A case under serial No. 06/2021 Section 174 CRPC is registered in Brahmavar police station in this connection.
