Jan 18: Dakshina Kannada reports 13 fresh corona cases; Udupi records 2

Mangaluru/Udupi, Jan 18: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 13 fresh coronavirus cases on Monday raising the tally to 33,438. Out of these, 323 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,46,161 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,12,723 are negative.

As many as 41 people were discharged on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 32,378.

A total of 737 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 25,154 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 26,48,270 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,223, including two fresh cases on Monday. Out of these, 25 cases are currently active.

Over 3,22,808 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,99,585 have turned out negative.

As many as two patients were discharged on Monday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 23,009.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.

    That means corona virus is still active in state & people in udupi, D.K have become careless, they dont wear mask and practise social distancing.
    prevention is better than cure.

    From 500 cases it hs come down to below 15 which is definitely a great achievement. Let the no. of cases come below 5 and the nil. Let us hope so.
