Udupi: Collision of bike, two-wheeler - 75-year-old man killed

Udupi, Jan 13: In a tragic incident, 75-year-old newspaper distributor Ashok Kodancha was killed after his two-wheeler collided with a bike at Gujjadi, near Gangolli.

The incident took place on Wednesday, January 13. Meanwhile, the person on the bike, Sahil suffered injuries in the accident.

A man identified as Ibrahim Abrar Soofi of Gangolli carried both the injured in 24x7 ambulance.

The deceased, Ashok has been working as a newspaper distributor for 10 years and was director of the Kalpataru Multipurpose Cooperative Society in Gujjadi for over 25 years. He is survived by wife, son and a daughter.

    The Common threat to Motorists and Pedestrians is wrong side drivers.
    Please promise yourself that you will never drive wrong side ..however small the stretch is .
    Also Driving license should not be issued to persons above 60 years of age ..the reflex is slow and mind body coordination is zero

    sense- Shetty mangalore,I think their mind set is better than a younger people who drive with alcohol and drugs.They have more experience and drive with concentration.whereas younger blood gives more gas and always in a hurry.when you compare the statistics just see who died more in accidents on the road ,younger or old.Please dont give the elder one always the mistake because I suppose you are young?.You will understand it when you get elder .the difference.

    Such accidents usually occour at cross roads - teen rasta or chaar rasta.Speed ,haste and blind corners are responsible.
