Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Jan 10: Chief minister B S Yediyurappa on Sunday January 10 met union home minister Amit Shah in New Delhi and held discussions on various issues related to Karnataka.

BJP national president J P Nadda and state BJP incharge Arun Singh were also present.

Following the meeting with the BJP high command, Yediyurappa gave indications of the long-awaited cabinet expansion happening soon. "A 101 percent this is the last meeting. They are going to clear the names as soon as possible," he told reporters.

He further said that there was a 'detailed discussion' cabinet expansion. "You will get good news soon. I am happy with the discussion...we will wait for their instructions," he said.

The state cabinet expansion has been on the cards for a year now. There are several aspirants for top ministerial posts, and the battle has generally been between new entrants to the BJP from other parties and the loyalists. Among the hopefuls are BJP MLAs Umesh Katti, Munirthna, M P Renukacharya, Aravind Limbavali, Basanagouda Patil Yatnal and S R Vishwanath, along with MLCs M T B Nagaraj, C P Yogeshwar and R Shankar.

Earlier, speaking to reporters after landing in Delhi, Yediyurappa had said, "Recently, we won the gram panchayat elections in a very big way. Within a month, we are going to face two parliamentary and one assembly by-polls. We have to finalise the candidates. We will discuss all these issues with Amit Shah and other important leaders."

only Yediyurappa knows what is good about the news - the state has no administration or governance worth the name anyway. I suppose he means the MLAs will have another opportunity to mark their turf.

What we are witnessing is a puppet govt., in Karnataka and also in other BJP ruled states. Yeddy is a puppet in the hands of Amit Shah who isagain a puppet in the hands of Modi who again is a puppet in the hands of Adani, Ambani and the Corporate world. If Rahul Gandhi is Pappu according to BJP, then Modi is certainly a Puppet. So we are now stuck between Pappu & Pappet.

It’s pay back time for those who received big money to defect and overthrow the govt. Now they have to pay back the same or more to get plumb ministerial post. Actually its ‘Sad News’ for them.
