Mangaluru/Udupi, Jan 7: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 37 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday raising the tally to 33,117. Out of these, 395 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,12,679 samples have been tested. Out of which 4,79,562 are negative.

As many as seven people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 31,960.

A total of 732 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 21,096 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 22,39,804 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,153, including three fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 93 cases are currently active.

Over 3,05,148 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,81,995 have turned out negative.

As many as 20 patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,871.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
