Mangaluru/Udupi, Jan 6: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 42 fresh coronavirus cases on Wednesday raising the tally to 33,080. Out of these, 395 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,07,956 samples have been tested. Out of which 4,74,876 are negative.

As many as 22 people were discharged on Wednesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 31,953.

A total of 732 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 20,634 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 21,92,704 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,149, including 13 fresh cases on Wednesday. Out of these, 109 cases are currently active.

Over 3,01,737 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,78,588 have turned out negative.

As many as 10 patients were discharged on Wednesday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,851.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
