Mangaluru/Udupi, Jan 3: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 16 fresh coronavirus cases on Monday raising the tally to 32,994. Out of these, 367 cases are currently active.

A total of 4,96,620 samples have been tested. Out of which 4,63,626 are negative.

As many as 27 people were discharged on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 31,895.

A total of 732 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 19,543 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 20,73,928 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,113, including six fresh cases on Monday. Out of these, 90 cases are currently active.

Over 2,93,866 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,70,753 have turned out negative.

As many as 14 patients were discharged on Monday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,834.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far, including one on Monday.
