Mangaluru/Udupi, Jan 2: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 37 fresh coronavirus cases on Saturday raising the tally to 32,948. Out of these, 367 cases are currently active.

A total of 4,89,908 samples have been tested. Out of which 4,56,960 are negative.

As many as 19 people were discharged on Saturday, taking the total number of recoveries to 31,849.

A total of 732 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 19,295 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 20,49,128 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,085, including 11 fresh cases on Saturday. Out of these, 81 cases are currently active.

Over 2,88,838 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,65,753 have turned out negative.

As many as 13 patients were discharged on Saturday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,816.

A total of 188 deaths have occurred so far.
