Udupi: Ambagilu-Kalsanka road in poor condition, needs urgent attention

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (HB/MS)

Udupi, Dec 24: The road that connects Kalsanka with Ambagilu in the city is the main road that is accessed by people to enter the city. However, this road is very dangerous for two wheelers to ride on because of deep pits on the road. There is a risk of skidding of two wheelers as the riders will not be aware of this obstacles for smooth riding.

Sometimes, it becomes difficult to understand the working style of the administration. When the road is being repaired at one end, the other end is being dug. That is exactly the situation of the Ambagilu-Kalsanka road.

Due to the unscientific work that is done in the underground drainage construction, many pits have formed on this road. Asphalt, along with bitumen, is already removed to carryout patchwork on this road. The stretch in front of Kalkura Refrigerators is badly damaged. Here, many two wheeler riders have fallen after skidding.

The road which was dug a week ago is left in the same condition. This causes inconvenience to pedestrians as well as vehicle drivers. At some places asphalt powder is applied, which flies when the breeze blows as the vehicles pass by. Drivers, who access this road for the first time are in grave danger because of this as the asphalt stones that are left on the road lead to skidding of two wheelers.

The city administration or concerned department has to get the work of this road completed as soon as possible, say the locals.

How many times in a year they do patch up work.. and for that patch up work also they take money from govt... if govt sanctions 50 lakhs.. 5 lakhs is spent on road.. and the rest amount gets filled in politicians pocket... disgusting and pathetic politicians.. i have seen these roads getting repaired every year and getting a patch up work every month... these politicians eat crores and crores of money .. that is tax payers money.. they fight for the sanctions of money for that work and this work.. they give big speech stating that they are fighting for the sake of common people.. but the truth is when the crores get sanctioned by govt.. these politicians act like middle men... line by line .. the amount goes to their account... shame on such politicians.. instead they can beg openly.... this is never ending story.... it will not stop until common citizens wake up and get together... Instead of fighting for religious issues.. our India would be way forward if we would have fought for such issues..
