Beltangady, Dec 18: Anubhav (8), son of Bijoy, owner of Bijoy Agencies, a resident of Ashawathakatte vicinity on Car Street of Janardhana Swamy temple of Ujire, was kidnapped on the evening of Thursday, December 17 by three to four people, who arrived in white Indica car.
The kidnappers have placed a demand of Rs 17 crore for the release of the boy as per the complaint filed in the police station by A K Shivan, grandfather of the kidnapped boy.
Anubhav
Shivan had gone for walking. His grandson Anubhav was going to his home, in front of his grandfather, after playing. As he was reaching the gate of his house, two strangers got down from the Indica car which was parked near the gate and forcefully made Anubhav to sit in the car. When Shivan came running and tried to open the door of the car, the kidnappers drove the car towards Car Street and sped away.
The kidnappers called the daughter-in-law of Shivan and placed a demand of 100 bitcoins or Rs 17 crore in order to release the boy safely. Police who have registered the case are investigating further.
