Mangaluru: CODP ®, ICYM Fajir conduct rainwater harvesting at Panela

Mangaluru, Nov 3: CODP ® Mangaluru and ICYM Fajir jointly on November 1 organized a voluntary service at Panela in Paranchil area. Fr Oswald Monteiro, director of CODP gave some information about natural resource management and explained rainwater harvesting components called contour trenches.

Fr Sunil Veigas, the parish priest of Fajir Church, Lanson, 25 ICYM members, one SHG member participated in the Shramadaan.



Rita D Souza, Peter D'Souza and Gulabi Monteiro, staff of CODP, assisted in the programme.

A total of 27 trenches were dug in this area and 12 fruit saplings were planted.
