Adani Group to take over operations at Mangaluru International Airport on Oct 31

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Oct 22: The Adani Group is all set to take over operation and management of Mangaluru International Airport on October 31, as per the announcement by Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Thursday. Following the pandemic, taking over the airport was delayed by the Adani Group.

The aviation ministry signed MoU with Adani Mangaluru International Airport Ltd on Thursday for provision of services like Customs, immigration, plant and animal quarantine, health and security (collectively called reserved services). AAI also signed three separate communications, navigation and surveillance systems for air traffic management with these concessionaires for services at the airport.

About 25 high-level officials of Adani Group studied the airport issues since the last couple of months. For a few months, the post of airport director is said to be in force after which the executive officer of Adani Group is expected to take over the affairs.

Further, on Thursday the AAI also announced that the Group will take over the Lucknow airport on November 2 and the Ahmedabad airport on November 7. Meanwhile, MoUs for respective airports were signed - Adani Ahmedabad International Airport Ltd and Adani Lucknow International Airport Ltd.

The concession agreements for operations, management and development of Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Mangaluru Airports through PPP mode were signed on February 14.

You are more suitable to be India's PM, than the one who suggested to make/sell Pakodas when complaining that graduates have no jobs. Our jobless youth would have been in the Gulf now, than running after cow-stealing/Beef transporting own community people.

RSRB, what makes you to be protective about Pakoda Makers ??

Are you knowing this, or pretending not to know that Pakoda makers are independent businessmen, who pay ZERO tax though they make business in lakhs per month ? They are BPL card holders who get most of the facilities for free ?

Honestly, I feel saintly when I pay tax even for the interest paid to me one the FD of my hard earned salary. Yes, the salary paid to me after deducting the tax payable.

The Adanis are brainless. They haven't done their homework. Instead of taking over Mangalore International Airport they should take over Mangalore City Corporation. They can mint
    more money here!!

    Kind attention of Modified baiters...
Adani is an Indian business man with varied business interests. He got the project by participating in bidding...

    Mr. Prabhu,

He won the bid in Indian Rupees but sub-contracted it to a German company, probably on US$. Does this ring bells ?

Then it's your turn to do Mandebechcha. Contemplate - aren't there able Indians to do the job ? If he is understaff to do one airport, how come he bid for two more airports ? Whom are those two being sub-contracted ?

Germans are running Bangalore International Airport very efficiently for last 20 some years....
Why you are jealous of Adani / Ambani/ Whoever....If they run it better without increasing Fees....let them make some money out of it...they are not Sanyasis....If its not Adani...somebody else will do...

Neither Adani nor Ambani are my relatives....if they improve service without increasing the fees...then we should welcome them....this is called CAPITASISM at its best...

If in Adani's time if service worsen than before or he increases the Fees...Gautam Adani should be kicked out literally....If our Babu's have brain in right place...they must have incorporated this clause in the contract with Adani....

Doesn't Modi govt know that Germans manage airports in India ? Then, why is Adani required in between ? To legalize his black money ? Couldn't it have been cheaper for the Indian govt sans Adani's commission ?

Yes, it's my point too, why wasn't a clause there, that the main contract gets null/void if subcontracted ?

It is natural that every country prefers their nationals for the contract..
In gulf countries also, we find an Arabi holding the manpower contract but hires only Indians...
Gulf company can give direct jobs to Indians without an Arabi in between....
Hence, your argument is not carrying much weight

    Modiji,

As long as Passenger Service becomes better and Fees are not raised privatization is good....We all know how Air India conducted itself when they were having monopoly....

Air India Cabin Crew are behaving as if AI is run for the benefits of the Crew...and they are masters of people travelling with AI.... and travelers are SLAVES of them ....See how Private Airlines behave....

With freaking Reservation Quota in AI....best option remaining is CLOSE Air-India and stop making loses...which is ultimately paid by poor tax-payers who don't travel by air...

    ...Tak...Takk...
