Bengaluru: Sandalwoood drugs case - High court dismisses Aditya's plea to quash FIR

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Oct 18: The high court has quashed the petition requesting the withdrawal of FIR in the sensational Sandalwood drugs case, moved by accused Aditya Alva who is still absconding.

The petition was presented to the one-member bench of justice Sooraj Govindraj on Friday, October 17.

During the inquiry, arguing for city crime branch (CCB), the counsel said, "Aditya Alva is involved in the drugs scandal. Evidences are available with the police of him selling drugs to other accused in the case. In addition it is also known through investigation that he used to consume narcotic drugs. Now he is absconding and CCB police are on the lookout for him. He has to be arrested and interrogated. Hence his petition for withdrawal of FIR should not be upheld."

After hearing the argument put forward by the lawyer for CCB, the one-member bench quashed the petition of Aditya Alva saying that the case against Alva is still in the investigation stage and it was not right to cancel the FIR now.

Meanwhile, Priyanka Alva, wife of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and sister of Aditya Alva was served one more notice by CCB policie to present herself for interrogation. Though she was asked to present herself for interrogation on Friday, she did not attend on the pretext of heavy rains. The CCB police said that they have served her one more notice on WhatsApp to be present in person on October 20 for interrogation.

When too much money is there, Satan ( addictions, attachment, materialism, lust, pride...) takes one's to ride, finally lands one to hellish situation or sickness.

Charity is the best answer as Holy Scriptures say "There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving.” (Acts 20:35)

Do not go behind glamorous world, all is vanity vanity vanity.

Media portraited many Film personalities / Businessmen / Politicians as an ideal person, this is due to paid PR companies & but in real life most of them have sinned & lived dirty, filthy life which is beyond our imagination

Pray that Govt. will forgive you guys and allow you to start a new life. you all have got enough money for 3 generations, just have to come out from the filthy world and live a good life & help younger generation to lead a good simple life.

I agree with you, but many celebrities are becoming peddlers also at some point. There will be a minimum 5,000 peddlers in India who are young / educated & from good family including girls.

When our courts give chance to the politicians who are rapists / Murderers / Extortionists / corrupt minded  then why can't our young brothers and sisters should not get a chance for the second life ? Let them go through some punishment & then give them chance to change their heart & live a decent life. Nation can forgive these young souls.
