Dr Arathi Krishna inaugurates Mangaluru Dasara festivities at Kudroli temple

Mangaluru, Oct 17: Covid warrior and former vice president of NRI forum Dr Arathi Krishna inaugurated Mangaluru Dasara here at Kudroli Gokarnatheshwara temple here on Saturday October 17.

After inaugurating Mangaluru Dasara, Dr Arathi Krishna said, "It is an honour to inaugurate Mangaluru Dasara at Kudroli. Gokarnatheshwara temple is one of the renowned temples where devotees visit from all over the country. Credit goes to Janardhana Poojary for his effort in making this temple famous. This temple has brought revolutionary changes giving importance to women and widows. Whenever I return to Mangaluru from abroad, I visit the temple and seek God’s blessings.

“During this time of pandemic, I strived hard to bring back people from abroad to India. Now some are willing to go back to abroad to resume their work. As there are a lot issues regard visas, I have spoken to civil aviation minister regarding the same,” she said.

A grand procession was taken out within the temple premises before installing Sharada statue with the tiger dance troupes performing.

District Congress president Harish Kumar, treasurer of the temple Padmaraj, president of the temple H S Sairam and others were present.
