Belagavi, Sep 28: "Suresh Angadi faced serious health problems because of his overconfidence that nothing would happen to him. Not wearing masks was his undoing," said minister for industries, Jagadish Shettar.

Shettar said that if precautionary measures had been taken, Angadi would have survived. Shedding tears at a meeting organized by Hindu organizations in the city on Sunday, September 27 to pay tributes to the late minister of state for railways, Suresh Angadi, Shettar said that Angadi used to be confident that no harm would come to him as he had no bad habits and was healthy. "I told him many a time to wear a mask. But he was careless. He would have survived if he had taken care about his health," he said, recollecting that he had repeatedly told Angadi not to be negligent about corona infection.
