Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Sep 26: After remaining off the roads for about six months due to coronavirus concerns, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses which earlier did trips to Kasargod, started to undertake trips to Talapady, which is the state's border with Kerala. Kerala government buses have already been making trips till Talapady from Kasargod.

On Friday, ten government buses travelled till Talapady from the city. The bus fare for this trip has been fixed at Rs 20 per person. On the first day, very few passengers made use of the facility perhaps due to lack of information. More passengers are expected to utilise this facility as the days pass.

An official of KSRTC here said that the corporation is prepared to run buses till Kasargod but the district administration there has not yet given permission for the same.
