Panaji: Mapusa ITI to reopen from September 21

Panaji, Sep 19: The Mapusa industrial training institute (ITI) is all set to reopen on Monday September 21 after it remained closed for nearly four months due to COVID.

The ITI premises at Shetye were sanitized on Thursday by a team from the Mapusa municipality under the supervision of ward councillor Franky Carvalho.

In the recent announcement, the centre has permitted the reopening of schools from September 21 and also the existing batches of all ITIs must be trained under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). Goa state has a total of 13 ITIs.
