Mangaluru: Webinar on Insights into Civil Engineering held by St Joseph Engineering College

Media Release

Mangaluru, Aug 27: To introduce the importance of Civil Engineering, the department of Civil Engineering in association with ISTE-SJEC student chapter of St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), here, on Friday August 28 will host a webinar titled 'Insights into Civil Engineering' from 10.30 AM to 11.30 AM. The webinar will be delivered by Prashant Kurderkar, assistant professor in the department of Civil Engineering at SJEC.

Civil engineering is about maintaining and adapting the infrastructure that all individuals depend on every day like our roads, railways and bridges, energy and water supply, waste networks and flood management.

The role of civil engineers is paramount in these aspects as they have to keep the infrastructure running effectively and adapt it to meet challenges, such as population growth, climate change and natural disasters. They must also find ways to deliver the infrastructure needed when there is little money in the pot to pay for it. Over the years, civil engineers have to come up with solutions to complex problems and implement them resulting in literally shaping the modern world.

Any engineering aspirant and Pre-University student may attend this very useful webinar free of cost, by registering on the below link:
