Mumbai, Aug 22: Popular and famous Canara Pinto Travels buses offering passenger services for the last seven decades had suspended their services due to COVID scare. They will resume their Mumbai-Mangaluru-Mumbai services from August 23.

“The bus driver and the conductor’s temperature will be measured before every trip bearing in mind the health of society and every citizen. The driver and conductor will be prepared for trips after wearing proper masks. The buses will be sanitized after every trip. Social distance will be maintained throughout the journey. The temperature of the passengers will be checked when they board the bus. Coronavirus will be prevented by using quality sanitizers for the passengers. Bus staff and COVID warriors will help to provide the experience of a safe journey,” said the Canara Pinto company proprietor, Sunil Pais.

“The company has begun services only of non AC buses for the time being. The buses will begin their journey from Milagres, Mangaluru at 11.30 am, proceed via Mulki, Udupi, Kundapur, Bhatkal, Belagavi, Pune, Chembur, Sion, Andheri, Borivali, Dahisar and reach Mira Road (Seetalnagar). On the return journey, they will leave Mira Road at 7 am and reach Mangaluru by the same route. Passengers will need the government's Seva Sindu E pass. Passengers at the time of reservation of the ticket should produce separately their Aadhaar card, complete address of both of their residences and mobile phone numbers. The bus company will provide Seva Sindu E pass subject to conditions. Parcels will also be accepted.”
