Mumbai, Aug 19: The interstate bus services that were suspended for the last five months due to the coronavirus pandemic are resumed. Anand Travels has brought their buses on the road for commuters between Mumbai and Mangaluru.

Anand Travels which has put into service only non AC buses on directions by the central government allows only twenty passengers at a time to travel in the bus keeping in mind the health of the passengers and the need to maintain a safe distance between each other.

The trip of the bus from Mangaluru begins every day at noon from near Milagres church and proceeds via Moodbidri, Karkala, Udupi, Kundapur, Bhatkal, Belagavi, Pune, Lonavala, Navi Mumbai, Chembur, Sion, Andheri, Borivli and Dahisar reaching Mira Road (Seetalnagar) in the morning.

Similarly the bus from Mumbai begins the journey at 10.30 am from Mira Road, reaching Sion at 12 pm reaching Mangaluru by the same route the next morning.

Passengers need to mandatorily hold a government’s Sevasindhu E Pass. Every passenger buying the ticket should submit their Aadhaar card, complete addresses of both the residences and mobile phone numbers. The bus company provides Sevasindu E Pass. Anand Travels manager Mathew D’Silva said that parcels will also be accepted.
