Udupi: Kasturba Hospital opens special COVID-19 testing centre

Udupi, Jul 15: The COVID-19 test report is made mandatory for all those who travelling abroad. Due to which there were a lot of requests from the public. In order to assist these requests, the Kasturba Hospital opened a special COVID-19 testing centre in Manipal. Those in need of the services can avail this facility at the centre which will operate from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm on hospital working days, said Dr Avinash Shetty, medical superintendent.
 
"This service will be available on prior appointment only and people are requested to call between 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on the number -- 0820-2922057 to make an appointment. An Aadhaar card or valid ID proof will be compulsory to avail the service. It will take 24 to 48 hours to obtain the reports and the test report is valid up to 96 hours for those who are going to travel abroad. Therefore, those who are in need are requested to plan accordingly," Dr Shetty said.

    I have been trying to call this number since 3 days. It’s been busy continuously. And any related person we contact tell us to contact this same number. It’s really irritating. 21st is my flight and I still dint get the appointment!!!!
