Bengaluru: 100-year-old Marceline Saldanha beats coronavirus in nine days

Bengaluru, Jun 27: Centenarian Marceline Saldanha here, who was infected by coronavirus, has successfully recovered from the virus. With this, she has sent a message to the people who remain tense due to the virus. She is the oldest person in Karnataka to recover from the deadly virus.

When there are reports of people committing suicide due to fear of the virus, she has brought joy in the medical fraternity.

Marceline Saldanha residing in Bengaluru Kumaraswamy layout was tested positive on her 100th birthday. She was admitted to Victoria hospital on June 18. Her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren also were infected.

She was treated in the trauma care center of the hospital and recovered and discharged merely on the ninth day of the treatment. She has filled patients in the trauma care center with confidence before leaving, it is gathered.

    An amazing achievement by Mrs Saldanha.

    A life lived well suggests she was free from various chronic diseases, and hence the virus had no comorbidity factors to cause issues.

    Mrs Saldanha is not only a role model to others on Covid-19, but also is one on living a sensible life with simpler diet and physical activities.
