Woman found dead in Mumbai's govt-run Covid-19 hospital

Mumbai, May 27 (IANS): A Class IV woman employee posted on Covid-19 duty at the state-run St George Hospital was found dead in an elevator in the hospital building, the police said here on Wednesday.

As per preliminary details, the woman's hair apparently got caught in the moving lift, leading to the tragedy. The 45-year-old woman was alone in the elevator. When it reached the next floor, another hospital staffer alerted the authorities.

She was rushed for treatment. But she died and the body sent for an autopsy. The MRA police station has registered an accidental death report.
