Mangaluru, May 12: After Dubai, Air India announced the repatriation of people from Doha and Muscat to Mangaluru.

According to sources from Air India, the flight from Muscat is scheduled to arrive Mangaluru on May 20 via Bengaluru. The flight will depart from Muscat International Airport at 1.15 pm local time and arrive Bengaluru at 6.15 pm. After the layover at Bengaluru airport, the flight will take off at 7.15 pm and land at Mangaluru International Airport at around 8.10 pm.

The Air India flight from Doha via Bengaluru is scheduled to arrive on May 22. The flight will take off from Doha at 1.30 pm local time and will arrive Bengaluru at 8 pm. The flight will soon take off from Bengaluru at 9 pm and is scheduled to land at Mangaluru airport around 9.35 pm.

The sources also revealed that there is a possibility that Air India will operate a second flight from Dubai in the coming week.

Later today, the first flight from Dubai carrying 177 passengers is scheduled to arrive in Mangaluru at 10 pm.

    Qatar said if Air india is "evacuating" indians for 700 qatari riyals each, qatar can do the same with less ticket price in Qatar airways. Also Indian govt is asking for exemption from airport charges in Qatar. most probably qatar govt will not give permission for Air india for special flights which were wrongly classified as evacuation flights.

    Airlifting is not a problem. Keeping people in Quarantine is a problem.

    We can't trust in Home Quarantine, because of people who came in March & broke Home Quarantine rules & played football match.

    US, UK, Australia, Singapore, Hongkong, Maldives, Malaysia etc.. people are coming.

    Where to keep them for Quarantine?

    US charged 3 times the price of ticket for evacuation of it's citizens from India. But, airlines in US are all private.

    - Normal scheduled flights are not allowed by GCC countries. Only repartition flights allowed.
    - Medical checkup before flight & after arrival needs to be done
    - Mandatory Quarantine needs to be taken care after landing. For that facility has to be arranged.

    Major problem is arranging rooms for Quarantine people. People landing in Kerala from Dubai & Abudhabi are testing positive.

    So, Normal scheduled flights not possible..

    Vande Bharat Mission For Name Modi government started,
    But their will be a problem going to start, all country's will ask for their aircraft to fly India then what going to happen Indian government will open the roots for other flights or stop Air India ?
    What will happen Vande Bharat Mission? if other country fly their flights?

    Most of the time, it is about Quarantine facility & logistics work.

    Identifying people to be sent urgently like Pregnant ladies etc.

    Mangalore flights did not get scheduled because District administration was working with Hotels for Quarantine SOPs & converting them into Quarantine facilities.

    Should appreciate very much our present government done wonderful job during crises. Credit ofcourse goes to Shri Narendrabhai Modiji. Eventhough there are many anti-nationals try to sabotage smooth flow of system umpteen time but government dealt with single handedly and achieved success. For that purpose people elected modiji twice and ready to obey all his orders with full honour. People who are working abroad are having ray of hope from the year 2014. Modi hai toh sab kuch woh sakhta hai. We had seen earlier there is no cordial relations with other countries and people who are in abroad faced many problems during crises.

    @Anirudd, Andheri. Mumbai .. dont bring your political mind in front of poor people in this situation.. you may have current job and enough money to take tickets ... but there is 65 days lock down in industrial area and no money to have foods and some people lost their jobs .
    and you said - we appreciate our government ..in what based ?? that is why QATAR government rejected permission for plane to land in Qatar airport . (study first) .
    not everything is free in all states .. i appreciate for Kerala government since its free ..

    Please understand that they dint say they dint wanna pay for tickets and other blaa... blaa.. what u mentioned.. But when the govt say it is a airlift and evacuation plan, then it means they should give it for free.. that is called evacuation..

    Naming it Vande Matharam and taking proper amount of money from people doesn't make sense.
    And what do u meanby saying - why cant they work hard in home country. Is there enough amount of employment for all ??

    We are paying for our own tickets, our own food and for quarantine facility....nothing is given for free.....be thankful that many people went out of the country to earn money for their living, in a way we supported the country, so that many other people will get jobs. Now when many people are returning back, do you feel that there will be enough employments for all...

    I dont mean to be rude but, this is disgustful thinking. I mean for the current situation, its about a country and not you particular people all the time. If a person thinks about the country, you stay back were u are. People returning to our country to thier home is not a festive thing anymore. People should understand that. Atleast government is allowing people to return and taking measures, which they are not sure will work. because people who are home quarantined, are out playing and roaming here. I think being thankfull is the least thing you can do.
