Lockdown day 31: No fresh cases reported in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 24: No coronavirus were reported in Dakshina Kannada (DK) and Udupi on Friday, April 24.

As of April 24, a total of 39,386 people have been screened in the district. Fifty people have been quarantined at NITK Surathkal. Ten have been quarantined in ESI hospital. A total of 6,073 people have completed 28 days of quarantine.

A total of 1,819 samples have been sent for tests so far, out of which 1,339 have tested negative and 17 positive. Three cases are currently active, and 12 have been discharged. Two deaths have been reported.

As many as 204 samples were sent on April 24. As many as 117 reports were received today which all tested negative. Reports of 463 samples are awaited.

Forty-one persons are admitted for observation. As many as 1,253 patients have been treated at Fever Clinics.

As many as 16 have been diagnosed with severe acute respiratory illness (SARI) today out of which 10 cases were referred to Wenlock hospital.

In Udupi, a total of 1,929 people have completed 28 days of quarantine, including 37 persons on Friday. A total of 2,512 have completed 14 days of quarantine, including 141 persons on April 24.

As many as 646 persons are presently under home quarantine. As many 10 people were admitted to isolation wards on April 24. Altogether, 50 are in isolation wards. A total of 273 persons have been discharged from the isolation wards, including 10 on Friday.

As many as 1,024 samples have been collected so far in the district. On Friday, 17 samples were collected and sent for testing.

Reports of 41 samples were received on Friday, which were all negative.

Altogether, Udupi district has recorded three coronavirus positive cases who have now recovered and are discharged.
