Since we still do not have mass testing capacity this appears to be the alternative strategy. My sympathies to the people in that area.

Preventive measure.I stay opposite to the Hospital. No directives issued on Procurement if essential goods or if they would be home delivered like other seal down wards. Unless this is stated , there would be chaos.

Why these patients cannot be treated in less populated area? Then the others will have some relief. Those who treat them are immune to the disease is a plus point otherwise who can take care of these increasing number of patients? This is crazy.

This doesn’t make sense. Why would such a large area be declared containment/buffer zone because of 1 case!! I appreciate the efforts of the officials, but this is just not a necessary step. This will cause unwanted difficulties for a large group of people. The very essence of easing lockdown is lost.

The "Unwanted Difficulty" will help to stop the spread of the virus and the large number of people who you are referring to will be safe... Anyone roaming outside or not sitting inside the house is the at this point is Unnecessary and could cause "Unwanted Difficulties" later. Just Sit inside. This too shall pass!

Cannot understand the logic of creating buffer zone of 5 kms around a place where only one Corona affected patient was found. There are critical establishments like important hospitals, Educational Institutions, convents, and even the Kankanady Railway station coming in this zone.

I somehow get a feeling that Mangalore DC and Health Officers are a bit overdoing. We do appreciate their intentions. Ok, there are quite some cases in South Kanara so far. But these are spread over entire district. Why penalise the city for such cases.

If one goes by this standard, entire Bangalore City should have been called containment zone and the surrounding districts as buffer zone. On the contrary, from today, vehicle movements and certain other activities are allowed in Bangalore city excluding red zones.

Mangalore people in the past have been tolerant and have been accepting bandh, stoppage of traffic, one ways, etc. for small causes like visit of politicians. But this action of creating buffer zone without sufficient reason appears to be like taking the citizen for granted. I feel that the authorities should rethink on this. If it is really necessary ok. Otherwise, find alternatives.

Also clarify the meaning of buffer zone.

They should do sterilization in 1 or 2 days . After sterilization is done then can allow this area from Containment zone

Before sterilization they must restrict the area . This is much appreciated.
