Mangaluru, Apr 2: With the announcement that regular business hours would be allowed for provision and vegetable stores every day from 7 am to 12 noon, people seem to have begun to breathe easy.

The customers were in a relaxed mood not only in the city but also elsewhere in the district on Thursday, April 2. There was no mad rush as witnessed on Tuesday and Wednesday. People moved around without jostling for space and in many cases, roadside vendors are seen waiting for the customers.

There has been no shortage of vegetables, fruits and provisions and there were lesser people in front of medical shops and milk booths. As the people stuck to rules, the police did not have to keep reminding them to follow discipline and social distancing.
