Karkala: Forest officials seize over hundred logs found buried

Daijiworld Media Nework - Karkala (SP)

Karkala, Feb 17: In a mega operation, forest officials seized over a hundred wooden logs which were found buried under the earth by a BJP leader and well-known social worker, who happens to be a member of Karkala taluk panchayat. The logs were found buried at the place where the said BJP leader has his house at Kopparagundi.

The forest officials said that the wooden logs recovered so far are worth crores of rupees. As the officials continued to dig, more and more logs were found from underneath the earth's surface. Therefore, they have decided to continue with the remaining work on Monday.

In a case filed in Hebri forest department about two years back, the person in question had been accused of plundering the forest wealth since the last some years. It was then said that a huge gang from Hebri and surrounding areas was hand in glove with him in this illegal activity. The forest department, which investigated the complaint, had imposed a fine of Rs 1.5 lac to him.

Muniraj, a young range forest officer of Hebri, who is known to be an efficient and upright officer, who undertook this operation, has come in for lavish praise from the people for his emphasis on sticking to law and rules. It is said that as a retaliation measure for this operation, he might be transferred soon due to strong political pressure.

Wherever there is illegal mining, illegal activities, plunder, loot of national wealth you can find BJP is forefront. Be it Reddy brothers or anyone BJP is supporting these kind of activities and finally they give lecture on corruption, desh bhakthi and what all. In the guise of Hindutva they are covering all their crimes.

But yet the blame is always on the congress and other parties as the ones who are corrupt. Not a day goes by today without news of a BJP connected person involved in some criminal fraud activity.

This is only tip of the ice berg. The forest and mining wealth of the state has been getting plundered for decades and all authorities are aware of the loot. Surprisingly, how come the party of the honest desh bhakts has all these plunderers. Where are all the bhakts gone now.
