Kuwait City, Jul 18: Kuwait Airways has announced the temporary suspension of all take-off and landing operations at Kuwait International Airport following the latest wave of Iranian attacks, citing security concerns.

In a statement, the national carrier informed passengers that airport operations had been halted until further notice as a precautionary measure amid the rapidly evolving regional security situation.

The airline said all departures and arrivals at Kuwait International Airport have been suspended, and advised passengers not to proceed to the airport until further updates are issued.

Earlier, Kuwait Airways had announced the rescheduling of most of its scheduled flights in response to the escalating tensions in the region. The airline said flight schedules were being adjusted to ensure the safety of passengers and crew following the Iranian attacks.

Passengers have been urged to regularly check the airline's official communication channels for the latest information regarding flight schedules, cancellations and the resumption of airport operations.

The suspension comes amid heightened military tensions in the Middle East after the latest Iranian strikes, prompting several countries and airlines to review flight operations and airspace safety. Authorities have not indicated when normal operations at Kuwait International Airport will resume.
