Bengaluru: D K Shivakumar to head KPCC, Siddaramaiah to be CLP leader?

Bengaluru, Feb 10: Finally, the appointment of opposition leader, leader of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) and KPCC president is final. The Congress high command has instructed the AICC chief secretary to publish the names by February 15.

According to party sources Siddaramaiah is going to continue as leader of both opposition as well as CLP. D K Shivakumar will be the new KPCC president. Eshwar Khandre will continue to work as the working president of KPCC. Mallikarjun Kharge will be the AICC chief secretary. M B Patil is given the post of president of publicity committee and Dr G Parameshwar will be the chief of coordination or Samanvaya committee.

So, in total for seven positions, Congress high command has decided to appoint six leaders. It is learnt that the names and the list is sent to K C Venugopal, who is in-charge of affairs of Congress for the state of Karnataka. It is said that the names in list may be published anytime after the results of Delhi legislative assembly elections are declared.
