Dubai, Jan 21: Yakshagana is proud and complete folk art from costal Karnataka and it runs in the DNA of the people there. One can see younger generation developing more interest in Yakshagana, despite the domination of other colourful and popular entertainment mediums.
‘Yakshambhudi’ is an Udupi based Yakshagana school sponsored by Panamburu Venkatraya Aithala Samskrutika Pratishtana with support of Gopika Mayya and led by able and talented Yakshaguru Rakesh Rai. He is visiting Dubai with his disciples to stage ‘Gajendra Moksha’ Yakshagana on January 24, 6 pm onwards at JSS International School, Jumeira village circle, Dubai.
The event is presented by Indian consulate in association with FOI Events and Precious Parties Entertainment Services. The team cordially invites all with friends and family to encourage the budding artistes of the great art.
