Kundapur, Jan 21: The accused in the Kota double murder case that took place on January 26, 2019, in which Yatish Kanchan and Bharat were killed, got bail from high court. Mother of Bharat, Parvati, had approached Supreme Court (SC) seeking justice. The SC has now cancelled the bail granted by high court to the accused and zilla panchayat BJP member Barikere Raghavendra Kanchan.

Not only the coast but the entire state was shocked due to the gruesome murder which took place last year. It was the first time that involvement of police in favour of murder accused came to light. It was alleged that zilla panchayat member had hatched a conspiracy. Raghavendra Kanchan, in this connection was named the accused, arrested and produced in the court. As the accused did not get bail in lower court, he had approached the high court and succeeded in obtaining conditional bail. Subsequently, the district additional sessions court approved bail to six other accused.

Soon after the accused obtained bail at the high court, the mother of one of the victims, Bharath, who was determined to get justice, despite her poverty questioned the bail granted to the accused. The SC which took up hearing in the case cancelled the bail of the accused. Advocate Chandrashekar had argued in the SC in favour of Parvati.

It is said that for the first time, a murder case in between political pressure is accepted by the SC for hearing and the victim got justice.

“I have received my first victory in the Supreme Court. My son’s killers should be punished. No other mother should experience as much grief as I did. Though the financial condition in our house is not favourable, I have fought for justice after borrowing money from local groups and institutions. I am confident of justice for my son Bharath and his friend. I have gone to the Supreme Court with blessings of Kota village deity Amrutheshwari Thayi. Let all those who were involved in the murder be punished. Let everything happen as per the wish of the deity,” said Bharath’s mother Parvati.

It is the duty of POLICE to object the bail of accused murders and rapist.
Our Police poly only they would not object any bail due to their personal reason and all culprits left scot free.
Same culprits once come out of bail will give additional homework to same police.
Most of the criminals are repeated crime dons and given multiple time bails.
