Footage of alleged suspect who placed bomb at Mangaluru airport released

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jan 20: A person wearing a white cap, a full-sleeved white striped-shirt and black pant is suspected to be the one, who placed the bag with bomb at Mangaluru International Airport.

It is suspected that the man arrived to the airport in an auto-rickshaw and left after leaving the bag that contained the bomb.

The unclaimed bag was noticed by security personnel, and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) immediately cordoned off the area. The bomb disposal squad and a dog squad were rushed to the spot.

The bag has been moved to an isolation bay by the bomb disposal squad. Security has been tightened at Bengaluru and Hubli airports too.

Mangalore police is doing great job, but Mangalore airport which is international airport still needs to be more vigilant, more coaching is needed for the security staff to keep the place safe. There could have been alarm went off as soon as explosive materials entered the building from the main door which is huge red flag. Bring the anti terror experts from US or Israel to train security staff.

At the main entrance all the vehicles including rikshaws needs to be thoroughly checked. CC Cameras be installed at the entrance and in all angles. Why blame rikshaw driver. His job is to pick up the passenger and to leave him at the fixed destination. Driver is not from his gang. Security to be tightened in future. Anyway it is a lesson to Police Dept and to the Air Port Authorities. Their job is not to detect Gold but bomb also

When Mangalore international airport first started there was no issue regarding extensive baggage checking, frisking of passengers on arrival, harrassment etc . The moment gold smuggling started the whole scenario changed, now as per latest reports from external news channels police will be doing a in depth check on all vehicles coming to airport from gate. These people are responsible for all issues at mlore airport happening since several years.

Exactly. There was no triggering device on this bomb. The bomb maker is either a mischievous novice who did not know what he was doing, or it was done purposely without a triggering device only to scare the public without collateral damage...only further investigations will come out with truth.

Dear GOI ,kindly request you to install better CCTV system with Pelco brand cameras which are used in all government premises in USA and all Middle East countries . The footage looks so poor . Please form a security system department from government which will only approve Approved brands from government and conduct inspection after installation for approvals . Make a centralized database of all connected security system of all government premises .Feels bad to see we still don’t have such a infrastructure even in our country even though it’s 2020 . I would really want to help the government on building such a infrastructure cause I have worked for US airbase for wireless intrusion detection system using only wifi (not even a camera ) If anyone has suggestions how to contact GOI on these solutions for better internal security of our country kindly comment below .

    Lol,who is a citizen of India?Please elaborate!
Even after voting for these fellows with our voter ID they now say its is not valid for citizenship, which means the govt itself is illegal and invalid.
Spending crores on Aadhaar card, runnning to center for biometric, wasting time standing in line and now Aadhaar card is not valid proof.Passport also not valid which means NRIs are NRNI(Non Resident Non Indian)

"If you are a taxpayer and citizen of India, why do you oppose CAA?"

It doesn't make you smarter if you mix up two things in order to make one of them stronger. Instead it becomes messier. Just because people aren't supporting CAA do they lose right to question other problems ? Or, is CAA a deciding factor about their being citizens ? Taxpaying is obviously a citizen's obligation/duty but CAA is this govt's bill, it wasn't existing in the constitution.
