New lease of life: Daijiworld readers contribute Rs 31 lac to Jeshma D’Souza

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, Dec 12: Last month, Daijiworld.com had published a story on Jeshma D’Souza, who is suffering from Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. Along with her story, we had requested our readers to help her bring back to life which is only possible by specialised medical treatment.

Minutes after the story went online on Daijiworld, over a 1,500 individual large-hearted human beings, crossing all the boundaries of caste, creed and religion, come to rescue of the innocent young girl. From Rs 400 to Rs 50,000 range of amount has poured into Jeshma’s account from across the globe. Readers have shown how important is to show solidarity with needy around us. This is not the first time that readers have faithfully approached such cause. In last several years, appeals published on Daijiworld have generated a whopping Rs 21 crore, directly to the account holders of needy.

Jeshma D'Souza

“This is a miracle in my life. God sent his angels through Daijiworld readers to help me. When I came to know that I am suffering from blood cancer, I cursed my life. I lost all hopes to live and started to count my last days. But a call from the head office of Daijiworld, gave hopes of life and I dreamt something positive. Within a week, the same media published my story and appealed to its readers to help me. After that, it all happened like a miracle. The readers called my parents from various corners of the world and wished for my speedy recovery. They poured in Rs 31 lac to my account which gave me a new lease of life and a revelation that God lives in this universe in the form of people filled with humanity,” says Jeshma with tears flowing down her eyes, unable to come to terms with the miracle that she has
experienced.

Jeshma, a young BSc graduate, had many dreams and ambitions for herself and her family. She wanted to work, build a house for her parents, get married and lead a family life. Sadly, luck was not in her favour. When she underwent a medical check-up for a common illness, her reports showed she is suffering from blood cancer. She was suggested specialized treatment and regular chemotherapy. Each chemo costs more than Rs 30,000.

Jeshma, with a thankful heart, further says, “My father is a coolie worker and when he heard the news about my illness and treatment, he sold my mother’s jewellery and other assets and spent the same on my initial treatment. After that, he ran out of resources and was unable to meet the financial requirements for my treatment. He knocked on many doors, but could not manage the huge amount, which is not easy also. At that moment, I felt that my days in this world have come to an end. Some of my friends forwarded a text message to Daijiworld which I sent them about my illness and sadness. On November 10, I got call from Daijiworld media office seeking more information about my illness and family. Within a few days they published my story.

“I thank Daijiworld readers for their kind-heartedness and sympathy which they have shown on me. The financial help which they deposited in my account is very much helpful for me to secure specialised treatment and I am 100% sure that I will come victorious in this battle. I saw God in the form of donors and will always keep them in my prayers. I thank Daijiworld and its management because they acted as guardian angels in my life.”

Indeed, Daijiworld readers have once again proved that together, we can make the world a beautiful place. We are grateful to each and every person who has helped and supported Jeshma. Every time our esteemed readers are responding positively for noble causes that we publish. We hope our readers will continue to respond positively in our efforts to assuage the problems of the less privileged or those who are in dire need in the society. Thank you all.

The beauty of daijiworld is charity amount directly going to needy's account. Here there is no middleman. Direct remitt. Unlike some other people take money for thier account or Trust and there is no transparancy. This is why daijiworld is most reliable in news media today. God bless you Walter Nandaliek and team
