Udupi: Admar Math to hold two-day plastic free Paryaya from Jan 17, 2020

Udupi, Dec 9: “Admar Math Sri Krishna Seva Balaga is planning to celebrate plastic free Paryaya on January 17 and 18, 2020,” said Vedamurty Harinarayana Asranna at Admar Math Paryaya preparatory meeting held at guest house on Monday, December 9.

The committee has decided to ban plastic banners and flexes during the Paryaya and instead opt for cloth. This is the first time this concept is implemented in the Paryaya, he said.

M B Puranik, president, Sri Krishna Seva Balaga, speaking at the Paryaya preparatory meeting said, “There are many tableaus, dance teams, cultural teams which will take part in the procession. This time the procession route has changed. The procession will start from Jodukatte, Diana circle and it will turn at Chitharanjan circle.”

Admar, Malpe, Kodavoor and Matti villagers will offer vegetables, food ingredients in the first hore kanike, said Puranik.

As part of the upcoming Paryaya, a grand Pura Pravesha will be held on January 8, 2020. The Paryaya welcoming committee will greet the two seers Sri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji and Sri Ishapriya Theertha Swamiji at Jodukatte at 3 pm. A grand hore kanike procession will be held on January 15. Once in 15 days, the procession will conducted.

Yashpal Suvarna said that one horekanike procession will come from Malpe and rice will come from Admar original math and mattu gulla (brinjal) from Katpady.

Santhosh, Shripathi Bhat, Ramachandra Achar, Raghavendra Bhat, Ananth Nayak, Y N Rao, Pradeep Rao and committee members were present.
