Mangaluru: Karnataka government is in lifeless state - MLC Ivan D'Souza

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Dec 8: "State government does not have any funds to carry out work. It is in a lifeless state since four months," said Ivan D'Souza, MLC at a press conference in city on Saturday, December 8.

Ivan further said, "The central government has still not paid Rs 5,600 crore, which is the share of the state. The salaries are not paid to people who have worked under the NREGA (National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) scheme as the central government has not released Rs 2,000 crore. The announcement of Rs 1,200 crore grant by the central government towards flood relief is stuck in the announcement stage itself. Though 22 districts of the state are badly affected with famine and deluge, no special grant or relief is given by the Central government. For the same reason no work is getting progressed in the state,”

"Minister K S Eshwarappa should apologize for using derogatory statement against Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai. Eshwarappa, who has said, "All youngsters want Aishwarya Rai, but she is only one." referring to the aspirants for the position of DCM, should apologize. The colour of BJP, which refers women at 'Mathe' has come out in open now by this statement of Eshwarappa,” he said.

"Chief minister Yediyurappa is coming to Beltangady to lay the foundation stone to works which are only in proposal stage and not even approved by the state cabinet." Ivan complained.

    Dear Ivan
    Ruling party is not lifeless...….
They are very busy in making money, poaching MLA's / MP's, rewriting history / test books, placing saffron minded officials in key positions, altering voter list by legislating new laws, ………………..
    Opposition is lifeless...………..
Instead of efficiently fulfilling the duty of responsible opposition they are sleeping.
Opposition is so lazy...……….barely we see any effort from them.
In present state of the country there should have daily agitation, rallies, yatra's...………..

I have been reading these same statements repeatedly by you since 2014 , In that case why are your candidates not 'winning'. Why is your party rejected every where?
Your veteran leaders have been sent packing home. Our good old Mangalore too is Congress Mukhth now. Wonder what you will say tomorrow if God forbid Cong losses?
