Puttur, Dec 1: Police have arrested the main accused relating to the case of shootout on Abdul Khader that took place on November 26 at Kallandadka in the taluk.
Sadiq alias Blade Sadiq alias Hasan Sadiq is the person who was arrested by the police at Glibeedu in Madikeri district.
An FIR against four people was registered in the Puttur city police station in connection with this case. Dakshina Kannada district superintendent of police had formed four teams in order to nab the culprits. It is said that the attack had taken place due to some old rivalry.
The accused had absconded to different areas and went underground after the attack. Another accused in the case, Hanif (39), a resident of Kukkigattu, has been already arrested by the police near Gundya check post on Wednesday.
